Rep. Jackson Should Be Blagojevich Co-Defendant
By Isaac Hayes
CHICAGO: Isaac Hayes, former Republican candidate for U.S. House, released this statement following Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.’s testimony in the corruption trial of ex-governor Rod Blagojevich.
“Today’s testimony by Mr. Jackson in the Blagojevich trial did not convince me of his innocence in the conspiracy to auction a United States Senate seat. Instead of testifying as a witness, he should be a co-defendant alongside the former governor. The citizens of Illinois 2nd District need a public servant who is working in Congress and not whistling in court.”
Isaac Hayes is the President of the Frederick Douglass Foundation of IL, a Christian Conservative public policy and educational organization.
