Atlanta, Ga. — Author LaKisha Chapman has released Mommy Let Me Live to help families navigate difficult decisions about the lives of their unborn children and understand the long-lasting impact of those decisions. The books subtitle, How Can You Miss What You Never Had?, is the question that she poses to her audience as she reveals the answer inside of her book.
A native of New Orleans who now resides in the metropolitan Atlanta area, Chapman is the mother of three children, ages 13, 8 and 6, and the Regional Coordinator for the Silent No More Awareness Campaign (SNMAC). As the youngest African America Pro-Life Ambassador her goal is to discourage all who may be involved from making a decision today that will change their lives and they will regret tomorrow. I want to plant a seed deep within your heart that will change your thinking about abortion.
Chapman succeeds in that goal, according to Dr. Alveda King, Director of African American Outreach for Priests for Life. LaKisha Chapmans Mommy Let Me Live is a powerful, informative and inspirational story of her choices, good and bad, Dr. King says. She has written an honest testimony that shares her own personal experiences with abortion and shares how through Gods love she was healed and restored.
Chapman considers it her mission to reach women, men, teenagers and whole families with the message that every child deserves to live. I believe this project is vital and necessary, says Chapman. So many women and men are carrying suppressed hurt and pain after an abortion and dont know how to express what they feel. They dont know what to do about it or where to turn. The Mommy Let Me Live Project is the place to start, says Chapman. Her aspirations are to educate, motivate, inspire, empower and bring healing to those who need it and to testify about the God she serves and what He, not only can do, but what He did do.
LaKishas desire is to save women from the trauma that comes from abortion and to save babies from the hands of the abortion industry by educating the reader, says Dr. King. This book will challenge you to new levels in your thinking and faith and inspire you to climb the mountains which lead to successful living.
In her work in the community, Chapman seeks to expose and heal the secrecy, shame and silence surrounding the emotional and physical pain of abortion. It is an honor to be able to contribute to reducing the numbers of abortions by getting as many women as I can to join me in speaking out about abortion. I am devoted to saving and fighting for the lives of these babies who are our future.
In addition to the new book, Chapman plans to launch the Mommy Let Me Live Foundation to further her work in the Pro-life Industry. Mommy Let Me Live is available online at Books-A-Million, Borders or Amazon.com. Contact Chapman for interviews and media appearances at firstname.lastname@example.org.
